Mission Phase : PERIJOVE 3

The first 10 methane band images after the PJ03 close-ups. The large white patches are caused by light leaks / stray light under the methane band filter on the CCD. Most of the less prominent vertical lines are an effect of hot camera pixels; the hot pixels are replicated vertically by the TDI mechanism required to avoid motion blur in long-exposure images made by JunoCam rotating together with spinning Juno.

Aside from camera artifacts, the Great Red Spot and Jupiter's south polar region appear bright in the methane-band.
