Jupiter about 4 hours before and 5 hours after perijove-3 on 2016-12-11. Images are saturation-enhanced and brightness-stretched, derived from JunoCam's raw PJ03 RGB images #82 and #146.

The approach image shows parts of the northern hemisphere, with outbreak-related cloud features. The departure images shows parts of the southern hemisphere, with the Great Red Spot together with its smaller orange twin, and a chain of bright ovals.

In both images the transition between the well-known banding structure in the latitudes near the equator to the chaotic vortex-rich structure near the poles is visible.
