JUNO POSITION & STATUS
As of Dec. 6, Juno was approximately 61 million miles (38 million
kilometers) from Earth. The one-way radio signal travel time between Earth and
Juno is currently about three and a half minutes. Juno is currently traveling
at a velocity of about 20 miles (32 kilometers) per second relative to the sun.
Velocity relative to Earth is about 11 miles (17 kilometers) per second. Juno
has now traveled 1.1 billion miles (1.8 billion kilometers, or 11.9 AU) since
launch.
The Juno spacecraft is in excellent health and is operating nominally.
